About Me

My name is Penny Webb, I am married to Garry, and we have four adult daughters and ten grandchildren.

Together with Garry, I am foster carer having been approved in 2014 and currently we have three foster children in our care.

I have always worked with children, and for over 30 years I was involved in the field of Registered Childminding, as I was  a Registered Childminder from 1984 - 2004 and 2010 -2016, and in between those years from 2004 - 2010 I worked as a Childminding Development Officer for Worcestershire Early Years, leading on Childminding Networks.

I have also held part time posts as a tutor and a Quality Assurance assessor. More recently I have delivered my own training, and keynote speeches, and written articles for childcare magazines.

As well as my 'paid for' work, I am an enthusiastic volunteer for several children related organisations and associations - including Pre-school Learning Alliance and Save Childhood Movement.

I believe that membership organisations are vitally important to ensure that children's (and the adults working with children) voices are heard, and so as well as the organisations that I volunteer for, I am also a member of many other organisations, including PACEY, Early Education, TACTYC, and the Fostering Network
